This is Neha Ashtaputre. Here, on my blog, I am going to post some information regarding the software Microsoft PowerPoint. I have chosen PowerPoint because this is a software which I always use during my presentations. It has helped me a lot to carry out my presentations successfully. It enhances the presentation with its slides, animation effects and many other features.
The PowerPoint has helped me in various ways-
a. Home: I can insert and change all the basic visual features of the slide or can use Quick Styles which are ready to use templates for presentation.
b. Insert: Through this option I can insert the picture, clip art, shapes, album, smart art, charts, graphs, tables, text, hyperlink, header and footer etc. It helps me to make my presentation look more professional.
c. Design: I actually design the slide with this option. I change the height, width, orientation, theme of the slide.
d. Animation: I give animation effects to our presentation. It is a very interesting feature of PowerPoint. It makes the presentation educative as well as entertaining through its effects.
e. Review: The spelling and grammar checker, thesaurus, translator help me a lot to make corrections and solve the vocabulary related problem.
f. View: I activate slide master, handout master or notes master for easy and quick formatting. I record Macros also which reduces the duplication of formatting efforts.
Benefits:
a. PowerPoint divides the information into slides which is good for easy and quick understanding of information avoiding the burden of lengthy paragraphs on the viewers.
b. It makes the presentation interesting with its animation effects, so it doesn’t remain only educative and informative data.
c. It helps me (or any presenter for that matter) to make the speech. The viewers can catch my words easily and quickly as they relate it to the visual shown on the screen.
d. I always sort out the points on the slide and then explain them in detail in presentations, so care is taken that no point is left behind.
